The best way to “support the troops”? Support the family — because the whole family serves, and the families become the “battle buddies” when our service members come home. Click here to join us in supporting Our Military Families!
Project Sanctuary supports our military families by providing therapeutic retreats, enabling the families to reconnect and reintegrate into their communities through education, innovative services, supportive follow through…and FUN! Of the hundreds of families who have attended our retreats, 90% are still intact; we happily report ZERO SUICIDES, and all servicemen and women who want to have a job are working. Simply put, our program works.
Project Sanctuary is a proud founding member of R4 Alliance, a membership of programs of excellence providing therapeutic and community-based Recreation services to Our Military Family. R4 is focused and committed to achieving the highest quality services through collaborative efforts in Research, education, standards of excellence, economic viability, and continuum of care across our service community. We believe these services are essential to the holistic Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Our Military Family.

Purple Heart Tours & Operation Voice One
America’s Special Operations Forces soldiers are some of the finest in our military. Their work is highly classified and, due to the inherent risks in their duties, they suffer casualty rates more than 4 times higher than those of the conventional forces outside of Iraq.
22 No More
On average, 22 Vets will take their life today. Our goal is to get that number to zero.
To date, more than 2.4 million men and women have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
For many, the return home is fraught with challenge
- 1 in 4 has sought treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder/depression
- 1 in 3 struggles with substance/alcohol abuse
- 1 in 5 is unemployed
- 22 commit suicide every day
